Welcome to the Teatro alla Scala
Welcome to the
Teatro alla Scala

Come to the Scala with Intesa Sanpaolo.
We have reserved a place for you for the new 2010-2011 season.

Intesa Sanpaolo has supported the Teatro alla Scala for over ten years, in a successful collaboration between the two great institutions. The bank's relationship with the Teatro alla Scala emphasizes its commitment to promoting art and culture and to making them available to more people both in Italy and abroad. The bank has renewed the partnership by promoting both the 2010-2011 season and the youth-orientated project "La Scala Under 30", designed to spread the culture of music among new generations.
By joining Project Malawi, Teatro alla Scala has enhanced this special focus on a new audience. It is remarkable that the world's leading lyrical theatre is backing a social project underpinned and promoted by Intesa Sanpaolo along with Fondazione Cariplo with the aim of helping youth in one of the poorest countries in the world.

LA SCALA UNDER 30

Launched in 2005 to draw a wider public to musical culture, since the last artistic season the project has extended the offers proposed, thus becoming "La Scala Under 30".
Initiatives also include:

La Scala for families.
A programme of six performances for families (i.e. five concerts, one opera and one ballet) that young people between the ages of 6 and 18 can attend free of charge when accompanied by an adult.

Subscription to "Opera Under 30" and "Balletto Under 30".
Youth aged 6 - 30 years can subscribe for 3 operas and 3 ballets at special prices.
For the 2010-2011 season, youth who have subscribed can benefit from several advantages, including promotions and priority access to the purchase of special price tickets for all seasonal performances, participation in presentations, facilitated access to the Museo Teatrale, visits behind the scenes and to the Laboratori Scala.
Our customers are reserved a right of priority from 22 May to 30 June 2010.

"Opera Preview 4 December 2010" and "Ballet Preview 15 December 2010".
Following the success achieved last year, Teatro alla Scala is once again promoting the initiative of dedicating the preview of the inaugural opera to youth aged under 30 years with a special price entrance ticket that costs 10 euro.
The initiative also includes the preview of the performance "Swan Lake" that opens the ballet season.

"La Scala Under 30" for Project Malawi.
Moreover, "La Scala Under 30" will partner "Project Malawi", an initiative sponsored by Intesa Sanpaolo and Fondazione Cariplo to promote development in one of the world's poorest countries that is most affected by the AIDS epidemic.
As a matter of fact, Teatro alla Scala and Intesa Sanpaolo consider project "La Scala Under 30" as an important opportunity to make a wide audience of youth more aware of the objectives of Project Malawi.
All youth deserve much attention, but their needs and priorities differ in various parts of the world. The convergence of Teatro alla Scala activities with those organised by Project Malawi acknowledges these needs and makes fortunate youth more aware of life experienced by other less fortunate youth.
For every ticket for performances included in the subscriptions "Opera Under 30" and "Ballet Under 30" and in Opera and Ballet Previews, Teatro alla Scala will allocate a small share to Project Malawi.
