Interview with CEO Carlo Messina: €50 billion to relaunch Italy after COVID-19

In an interview published today by the Italian daily La Repubblica (in Italian, registration required), the CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo Carlo Messina announced €50 billion in lending to companies in difficulty during Italy’s COVID-19 emergency and a new ‘impact loan’ for social initiatives.

Those with the means must help the country. We’re providing €50 billion in credit but healthy businesses must also do their part.
