Intesa Sanpaolo: €45 million to Montello for circular economy projects

Intesa Sanpaolo: €45 million to Montello for circular economy projects

The company Montello SpA obtained a €45 million loan out of the € 6 billion ceiling dedicated to Circular Economy established in the 2018-2021 Business Plan.

The objective of the loan is to support the 2021-2022 investment plan as well as the external growth of Montello SpA, which, in approximately 20 years from its conversion from the iron and steel business ("brown economy") to the recycling of plastic and organic waste business (“green economy”), has become an example of Circular Economy not only in Italy but also at an international level.

For the development of Circular Economy, the Lombardy region has already supported approximately 30 projects for an amount of over € 100 million.
