Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania and Eurizon become the first entities to receive license from Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority to offer to local citizens direct access to collective investments in the EU.

The move further strengthens economic relations between Italy and Albania, stimulating the local investment market, economic growth and wealth creation in the country.

More specifically, Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania is licensed to act as intermediary in the marketing of shares and units of foreign undertakings for collective investment in Albania, by offering selected Luxembourg UCITS issued by Eurizon Capital S.A.. Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority has also approved the recognition for the management company Eurizon Capital S.A. – the subsidiary of Eurizon Capital SGR - and a few of its investment funds.

Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania is thus enriching the product offer dedicated to its customers with a large range of investment solutions available within Intesa Sanpaolo Group: a significant news not only for the bank but also for the Albanian investor.

For Eurizon, the entrance into the Albanian market is a further step in its strategy of international business development.

Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania is part of Intesa Sanpaolo’s International Subsidiary Banks Division (ISBD) which has a strategic international presence, with approximately 890 branches and 7.1 million customers, through its subsidiaries operating in commercial banking in 12 countries in Central Eastern Europe and North Africa.
