Support of €8 mln for Contarina’s environmental projects

Intesa Sanpaolo is supporting Contarina Spa with financing of €8 million, backed by a SACE Green Guarantee, to enable the company:

• to reduce the environmental impacts of a former landfill in Mogliano Veneto, mainly related to rainwater infiltration, through a new cover
• to increase the energy efficiency of public lighting in the municipalities where the company operates, which would reduce energy consumption by 51% and reduce atmospheric emissions by 1,000 tonnes of CO2.

Intesa Sanpaolo, in collaboration with SACE, is supporting businesses in the sustainable transition. It has recently launched the "Motore Italia Transizione Energetica" programme, which makes €76 billion available for investments by businesses in energy from renewable sources, incentivising the creation of renewable energy communities (RECs).

Contarina spa is a public utility focusing on waste management and other environmental services in 49 municipalities in the province of Treviso.
