Intesa Sanpaolo, Homepal and BPER Banca are forming a strategic and commercial partnership to create a real estate operator to grow and reinforce their business in the sector.

More specifically, the partnership will give rise to a new concept of the real estate agency: it will operate throughout the Italian market, building on the complementary service models of Intesa Sanpaolo Casa and Homepal and, by leveraging the Intesa Sanpaolo and BPER networks, will satisfy customers' real estate transaction needs through:

  • a strong technological component
  • a physical presence in major cities
  • the experience of their agents

The new company will also be open to collaboration with other networks and banks and will be the first open proptech platform in the Italian market.

The new organisation will be able to count on an initial sales network of over 60 people, with the aim of becoming a leading operator in the real-estate sector.

Intesa Sanpaolo will have a 49% interest in the new company, Homepal's current shareholders 34% and BPER 17%. Andrea Lacalamita, Homepal's chairman, will be given the helm.

The total initial investment by Intesa Sanpaolo and BPER Banca will amount to €15 million, intended to upgrade services and communication.

With this transaction, Intesa Sanpaolo takes a further step in the digital transformation envisaged in its 2022-2025 Business Plan.
