Green mobility: €80 million in loans to TPER

The image that accompanies the News on the two loans of a total of 80 million euros for the efficiency and sustainable renewal of the vehicles of the Emilia-Romagna public transport company, portrays a company bus operating on the roads of a city

Intesa Sanpaolo is supporting investments for the energy transition and sustainability mobility of TPER (Emilia-Romagna Passenger Transport) with two loans for an overall amount of €80 million, divided as follows:

  • €65 million, disbursed together with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) and BPER Banca
  • €15 million, 80% of which is backed by SACE’s Green Guarantee

The transactions will enable the streamlining and renewal from the perspective of sustainability of the Emilia-Romagna public transport company’s vehicles, focusing in particular on hydrogen and electric power.

The loans have a pricing mechanism linked to the attainment of specific ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) goals.

Intesa Sanpaolo acted as Lead, Mandated Lead Arranger, Agent Bank and Sustainability Coordinator, confirming its commitment to supporting the energy transition.
