Intesa Sanpaolo among the world’s 100 most sustainable companies

Intesa Sanpaolo is the first-ranking bank in Europe and Italy, and second worldwide*, among the 100 most sustainable listed companies, according to Corporate Knights that evaluates more than 6,700 large global publicly-listed companies.

The 100 most sustainable companies identified by Corporate Knights make up the Corporate Knights Global 100 Index.

The ranking evaluates companies with at least $1 billion in revenue, assessed on the basis of 25 performance indicators relating to, among others:

  • environmental sustainability
  • attention to human resources
  • gender equality
  • revenues from ESG products, services and investments

The ranking only includes companies that make sustainable solutions a core part of their commercial offering and that allocate meaningful resources to reducing their carbon footprints.

Intesa Sanpaolo confirms its position among the most active groups in the world in terms of sustainability, reflecting its commitment strengthened within the 2022-2025 Business Plan, which envisages a world-class position in social impact and a strong focus on climate.
