At Miart, Intesa Sanpaolo reflects on the stylistic codes of contemporary art

With the exhibition "I am a force of the past” at Miart, curated by Luca Beatrice, Intesa Sanpaolo proposes a reflection on the stylistic codes of contemporary art as a dialogue between past and present, through the work of four artists: Chiara Baima Poma, Luca De Angelis, Ismaele Nones and Nicola Verlato.

The exhibition encourages reflection on contemporary painting as a dialogue between new orientations, openness to new languages: on the one hand, the adoption of the artificial, the digital and the end of the “handmade”, on the other hand, the return to classical forms, slowness of execution and moving within codified genres.

The Group's lounge area at Miart will also host Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking – which offers its customers art advisory service – with a series of meetings to discuss issues relevant to the art market with some of the foremost experts in law, taxation and collecting. The events:

  • Friday, 12 April at 5:30 p.m. - “Estate planning and taxation in the art world: prospects for reform”
  • Saturday, 13 April at 5:30 p.m. - “New scenarios and investment perspectives: Presentation of the third volume Collectors and the Value of Art in Italy – 2024”
  • Sunday, 14 April at 3:00 p.m. - “Collectors and estate planning”.

In 2024 Intesa Sanpaolo is once again Main Partner of Miart with the goal of consolidating Milan's central role in the national and international modern and contemporary art community and of providing the city with a further driver of growth and economic, cultural and civil development.
