Intesa Sanpaolo is supporting the construction of the new TOG Carlo De Benedetti Centre with a €3 million impact loan: the transaction will enable the centre of excellence for the treatment of children's disabilities to be equipped with larger spaces and innovative services dedicated to children and young people with serious neurological pathologies such as cerebral palsy and genetic syndromes with mental retardation.

Thanks to the financing, the TOG Foundation has a new “home” at Via Livigno 1 in Milan and can grow to accommodate more children in its rehabilitation programmes, which are free of charge, distinguishing itself as a centre of excellence and a model of good healthcare in the region and nationwide.

The activities available at the new centre, with the redevelopment of the building, include:

  • new services and workshops dedicated to the acquisition and improvement of vocational skills of young people, useful for their entry into the labour market
  • a swimming pool for hydrotherapy treatments, to accompany physiotherapy activities.

The transaction was handled by Intesa Sanpaolo's Impact Department, which provides credit support to non-profit organisations and creates synergies between the public and private sectors to make community social action more effective.

Intesa Sanpaolo's support for the project by the TOGETHER TO GO - TOG Foundation is in line with its commitment to become the world's first impact bank, with a real contribution to the good of the community and the reduction of inequalities.
