From March 20th - the campaign start date - €2.2 million of the € 10 million target have been raised, to deal with the Coronavirus emergency.

Intesa Sanpaolo is providing its digital crowdfunding platform ForFunding.it to Italy’s Department of Civil Protection for a fundraising campaign enabling citizens and businesses to contribute to fighting the COVID-19 health emergency in Italy.

The donations are in addition to the €100 million committed directly by Intesa Sanpaolo.

The initiative is part of the Protocol of Cooperation that Intesa Sanpaolo signed with the Department of Civil Protection and the Extraordinary Commissioner for the COVID-19 emergency.

The donations go directly to the Extraordinary Commissioner and Civil Protection to be used for the same purposes to which the Bank has agreed to contribute.

In particular, the funds will be used to significantly strengthen the National Healthcare System’s emergency response, with the priority given to creating new intensive care beds.

Companies can also contribute with a donation or sponsorship, for example by doubling the value of every euro donated.

Each euro donated goes in full to the Civil Protection: Intesa Sanpaolo does not charge commissions on the donations.

Forfunding.it is Intesa Sanpaolo's crowdfunding platform dedicated to NGOs, nonprofit associations and foundations that want to start a fundraising project involving a large community of active donors. In three years of activity, forfunding.it has hosted over 170 non-profit projects on behalf of 150 entities.

Forfunding.it guarantees security and transparency. The platform offers public reporting on both the funds raised and the subsequent use of money.
