Monitoring and Evaluation

The Charity Fund pays particular attention to the impact of the supported initiatives and the effectiveness in the use of the resources available for the implementation of the financed projects. It is also aware that the Monitoring and Evaluation activity, a precious resource of knowledge and growth for both the donor and the organization receiving the donations, is costly in economic and time terms. It was therefore decided to activate a verification process only for interventions of specific scope and complexity. In this regard, please refer to the document "References for Impact Assessment".

Requests to the Fund for project contributions for €80,000 or more, must provide for external monitoring and evaluation of activities and results. The evaluating institutions are listed below (in alphabetical order):

  •  "Governance & Social Innovation" Center - Ca' Foscari University Foundation of Venice;
  • Interdisciplinary research center on the Governance of Territorial Development of the University of Catania;
  • Institute for Evaluative Research on Public Policies - Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK-IRVAPP);

The choice of the evaluating institution, within the proposed basket, is up to the applicant and the cost of the Monitoring and Evaluation will be negotiated directly between the applicant and the university. This cost must be included in the project budget [1] when the request is presented and will be covered by the Charity Fund for a maximum of 50%.

In the drafting phase of the initiative, the organisations must agree with the evaluator on the appropriate indicators of the expected results and activities, identifying the relative baselines, and monitor them during and at the end of the project for their verification.

You can find the contact details of the evaluators in the form.
