Intesa Sanpaolo: the first Impact Bank

As well as being a driving force behind the Italian economy, Intesa Sanpaolo wants to make a tangible social contribution to the community in terms of social inclusion, the environment, culture, education and innovation.
The aim is to become the first Impact Bank in the world by supporting those most in need, supporting and incentivizing education and youth employment, and providing care for the elderly population.
To strengthen the bank’s social impact strategy for the country, the territory and the communities, Intesa Sanpaolo set up a new dedicated organisational unit, «Intesa Sanpaolo for Social Impact», based in Brescia and tasked with guiding and governing the Group's social activities.
