Climate Report

Intesa Sanpaolo published its first TCFD Report in the fourth quarter of 2021, a document aimed at reporting climate information in accordance with the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

The recommendations are divided into four pillars: "Governance, methods and responsibilities assigned for the management of risks and opportunities related to climate change"; "Company strategy to support the transition towards a low-emission economy"; "Risk Management, inclusion of climate risk in the company's risk management systems and processes"; "Metrics and Targets, for defining the objectives to be pursued and for measuring results".

In October 2023, following the completion of the Task Force's mission, the IFRS Foundation, on the recommendation of the Financial Stability Board (FSB), assumed responsibility for monitoring the progress of companies in terms of disclosure of climate information. The 2023 edition, renamed Climate Report, was published again at the same time as the Consolidated Non-financial Statement.

Methodology and progress relating to the NZBA target setting have undergone limited third-party assurance.
