Intesa Sanpaolo and Cedior, a leading company in the wholesale trade of fruit and vegetable products, have signed a collaboration agreement to facilitate access to credit for the more than 60 small and medium-sized agricultural suppliers in many Italian provinces.

The agreement with Cedior was realised within the framework of Intesa Sanpaolo’s Supply Chain Programme, designed to facilitate access to credit for SMEs identified as strategic suppliers by the supply chain leader: financial solutions are dedicated to them for investments, in particular those aimed at energy efficiency, ecological transition, reduction of water consumption, valorisation of organic farming and modernisation of companies (Agriculture 4.0).

In the agri-food sector, on a national level, Intesa Sanpaolo has already launched 170 supply chain contracts involving more than 6,500 suppliers, a total turnover exceeding €22 billion and more than 22,000 employees of the supply chain leader.
