Financing for Eurowind Energy to build six wind turbines in Sicily

The image accompanying the News on the financing to Eurowind Energy to build 6 wind turbines in Sicily that will produce green electricity and avoid the emission of 8,400 tons of CO2 per year, portrays wind turbines at sea, taken from a boat in movement that leaves behind a wide wake for the displacement of water.

Intesa Sanpaolo is supporting Eurowind Energy with a loan of €8 million for the construction of six wind turbines in Sicily with a capacity of 21 GWh per year, supplying green electricity to approximately 7,400 households and preventing the emission of 8,400 tonnes of CO2 per year.

The transaction, finalised with the vehicle company Amuni Srl, will allow Eurowind Energy, a Danish company specialised in renewable generation projects, to complete the circular economy initiative affecting the Sicilian municipalities of Palermo, Trapani, Mazara del Vallo, Marsala, Salemi, Caltavuturo and Sclafani Bagni.

Intesa Sanpaolo supports the projects and investments of its corporate clients in the ESG arena: the recently presented new 2022-2025 Business Plan calls for new credit of €88 billion for the green economy, circular economy and ecological transition.
