Support for the Grana Padano PDO production chain

The image accompanying the News on the agreement with the Consortium for the Protection of Grana Padano PDO in support of companies of the production chain, even with the revolving pledge, shows rows of Grana Padano chees set aside for aging

Intesa Sanpaolo and the Grana Padano Protection Consortium have signed an agreement to facilitate credit access for companies in the dairy industry, making several measures available to them including:

  • access to the "revolving pledge" instrument, to turn stock into new credit
  • financing for maturation, the construction or renovation of production sites, the purchase of land, buildings or capital assets
  • assistance with the green transition, with solutions rewarding the achievement of ESG goals, such as S-Loans, and the free platform Incent Now, to take advantage of the opportunities of the NRRP
  • initiatives to support liquidity needs for payments and to ensure production continuity in order to cover the cost of energy bills.

The Grana Padano Protection Consortium unites 129 producers, 142 dairies, 149 maturing companies and 200 pre-packing companies, who together produced more than 5.2 million wheels of cheese in 2021.

Intesa Sanpaolo pays specific attention to the Agribusiness sector, making the resources and expertise of its Agribusiness Department available to the Consortium and its associate companies.
