Weather damages in Emilia-Romagna and Marche: €2bln for families and businesses
Intesa Sanpaolo is extending and reinforcing its initiatives in support of families and businesses in Emilia-Romagna and Marche, affected by the weather emergency, through the following measures:
- €2 billion total financing (raised from the initial €500 million) for the restoration of damaged structures and emergency expenses on special terms
- suspension of the principal of outstanding loans for up to 24 months
- refund of interest on mortgage loans for irreparably damaged first homes for the most distressed families
- launch of a fund-raising through Group channels
- €5 million outright aid for emergency support measures
Families, businesses, small artisans and traders, agribusinesses and third sector organisations that have suffered damage will thus be able to count on immediate financial support.
Businesses from all sectors, including non-profits, that have suffered damages will also be able to request zero commissions on POS terminal payments for transactions up to €30 and waiver of mobile and virtual POS terminal fees for one year.
Banking services for customers in the branches damaged by the storm will be ensured through the nearest branches and emergency facilities will be set up to ensure financial support. The digital branch is also available at the free-phone number 800.303.303 to provide prompt information and advice.
