International Subsidiary Banks Division: growing results

Intesa Sanpaolo’s International Subsidiary Banks Division (ISBD) continues to grow and is a pillar of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group's operating structure and financial performance. More in detail:

  • in the last three years, the Division has recorded an average growth in total assets of 7% per year, from €56.7 billion in 2019 to €70 billion in 2022
  • in 2022, it contributed 14% (€504 million) to the Group's Net Income, while operating in a complex global economic and geopolitical environment

The ISBD Division serves around 7 million clients through 11 commercial banks operating in 12 countries: Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, Egypt, Hungary, Slovenia, Albania, Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Moldavia, Ukraine. The Division is also present in China, through the wealth management company Yi Tsai.

To further support its growth path, the Division’s strategy focuses on:

  • bringing the Group’s distinctive skills and excellences to the CESEE region, leveraging on interdivisional synergies
  • consolidating the strategic positioning in the Euro-Mediterranean region, promoting the internationalization of Italian companies
