The skyscraper hosts Andrea Marcolongo

On the occasion of the XXXI Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino, next Friday 11 May at 9:00 pm the Auditorium of Intesa Sanpaolo skyscraper will host the young writer Andrea Marcolongo who will present her latest publication by Mondadori La misura eroica. Il mito degli argonauti e il coraggio che spinge gli uomini ad amare.
After La lingua geniale, where the author has shown how deep are the traces left by Greeks in our contemporary world, Andrea Marcolongo writes again about her personal journey towards adulthood, in a word, towards Ithaca. Perhaps this was the only way to answer the questions of her several readers. Is there still any room for the past in our future? Why should fear necessarily be a feeling to be ashamed of? Why have we never felt so alone in the history of mankind? Why do we all sail across the seas every day to become different from who we were when we left the shore?
La misura eroica reminds us that the goal is never the point of arrival, but it is first of all the turning point: the sense of a choice, of a journey, is not the place where you arrive, but the reason why you left.
The event is free but advanced reservation is required by using the platform dedicated to the event XXXI Salone Internazionale del Libro. Reservations will open next Friday 4th May, at 2.00 pm.
