AFC Digital Hub has been created in Turin to fight digital financial crime
The AFC Digital Hub (Anti Financial Crime Digital Hub), a consortium to fight digital financial crime through the use of new technologies and artificial intelligence, has been created in Turin, with the aim of becoming a national and international point of reference in the fight against money laundering and terrorism.
AFC Digital Hub’s members are Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Centre, the University of Turin, the Polytechnic University of Turin and CENTAI, the new research centre dedicated to artificial intelligence invested in by the Bank, and the consortium is open to other credit institutes and intermediaries.
AFC Digital Hub can support Italy's application as the venue of the future EU Anti-Money Laundering Authority, catalysing the arrival of qualified investments and resources and accelerating the Country's innovation and digitalisation process.
