With the EIB and CDP, €160 million in financing to develop the port of La Spezia

Along with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) and the European Investment Bank (EIB), Intesa Sanpaolo has granted a €160 million in financing to La Spezia Container Terminal to develop infrastructure at the Port of La Spezia.

In particular, the financing will allow:

  • the modernisation of the port area with the purchase of 20 new lifting machines
  • the reinforcement of the railway system
  • increased quay and yard capacity

supporting the development of a strategic infrastructure for Italy's logistics network and its competitiveness, boosting the local economy, increasing employment levels and generating positive impacts on the environment.
