Financial education: initiatives for youngsters at Global Money Week
During Global Money Week 2023 "Manage your money, plant the seeds of your future", Intesa Sanpaolo is organising various initiatives to raise awareness among young people on the importance of gaining the knowledge and behaviours needed to make informed financial decisions, with an eye to the challenges of environmental and social sustainability.
In particular, Intesa Sanpaolo is participating in the global event dedicated to financial education through initiatives of its Savings Museum and international FLITIN network aimed at:
Global Money Week 2023 – the events:
International Money Master Challenge Contest Final - 23 March 2023
Contest involving middle school students from seven countries – Moldova, Croatia, Slovakia, Hungary, Albania, Romania and Egypt – to raise awareness of basic financial culture in a fun way. After an initial national qualification involving 68 classes and 1,500 students, the finalist schools from each country will face each other in a final challenging quiz on money and savings trivia. The winning class will enjoy a cultural experience offered by Intesa Sanpaolo.
The initiative is organised by FLITIN - Financial Literacy International Network, the Group's network of ambassadors whose aim is to spread financial education in Italy and in countries where the International Subsidiary Banks Division is present.
From Currency to Bank Accounts - 22 March 2023
Interactive lesson for secondary school students: through animated videos, surveys and word clouds, students discover how currency was created and how it has evolved throughout various historical eras, learning important concepts for everyday money management. The session ends with an entertaining quiz challenge between the participating classes.

The Wonderful World of For and Mica, From Money to Piggy Banks - 24 March 2023
Online event dedicated to primary schools: the Museum's mascots, the ants For and Mica, tell children historical facts about the piggy bank, the iconic saving object, explaining some important concepts for everyday money management. Quizzes, videos and brief exercises to be done in class breathe life into the lesson.
