Inclusion: CFO Del Punta honoured for focus on LGBTQ+ community
Stefano Del Punta, Intesa Sanpaolo's Chief Financial Officer, was recognised as the "best ally" of the LGBTQ+ community by the association Parks-Liberi e Uguali, which underscored his commitment in the following areas:
- always fostering an inclusive leadership style, attentive to appreciating different points of view and all the characteristics that contribute to making each person unique
- being one of the first to promote awareness-raising courses for both the management population and everyone in the CFO area
The Intesa Sanpaolo Group also received the "Best Improvement" 2023 award from Parks - Liberi e Uguali.
Parks - Liberi e Uguali is a non-profit association that helps companies create respectful, inclusive work environments for their employees.
Intesa Sanpaolo has been engaging in communication and awareness-raising activities for some time now to promote the full inclusion of LGBTQ+ people: initiatives on affective orientation and gender identity have involved some 15,000 people to date.
Intesa Sanpaolo is also the first bank in Europe – and the only bank in Italy – included in the Refinitiv Global Diversity and Inclusion Index 2023 and the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) 2023. It is also the first major Italian banking group to have obtained the gender equality certification required by the NRRP and the first bank in Italy and among the first in Europe to receive Gender Equality European & International Standard (GEEIS-Diversity) certification.
