Revolving pledge: €40 mln for Prosciutto di San Daniele’s Consortium
Intesa Sanpaolo has made available €40 million to Prosciutto di San Daniele’s Consortium to facilitate access to credit for consortium members, including micro-enterprises, through a revolving pledge.
The revolving pledge on ham stocks frees up the economic value of the products so that member firms can access to financing to invest in:
- curing
- construction or renovation of production sites
- purchase of land, buildings and capital goods
The Consortium brings together 31 producers in the municipality of San Daniele del Friuli and through its professionalism will verify the quantitative and qualitative consistency of the batches of hams pledged to secure the credit lines made available by the Bank.
With more than €46 million disbursed, the revolving pledge is an instrument that is particularly well suited to the liquidity needs of the agri-food sector, which is characterised by inventory management.
Intesa Sanpaolo also provides the Consortium and its member companies with a dedicated support and advisory structure, consisting of professionals from its Agribusiness Department.
