Intesa Sanpaolo is supporting Turin-based Asja with financing of €8 million for the development of eight new wind and photovoltaic plants in Basilicata, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily.

The financing, supported by a SACE Green Guarantee, contributes to the construction of plants that, once operational, will have a total capacity of 586 MW and will generate a total of about 1,230 GWh of energy per year, equivalent to the annual energy consumption of about two million people in Italy.

Asja designs, builds and operates plants for the production of renewable electricity (from biogas, wind and sun) and biomethane, and is active in the reduction of greenhouse gas (CO2) emissions: Intesa Sanpaolo supports the company both with financial resources and with advisory and market support services.

Businesses that invest in sustainability generate both environmental and economic benefits: to support their plans, Intesa Sanpaolo has launched the “Your Future is Our Business” programme, which makes €120 billion available until 2026 for renewal processes linked to the energy and digital transition, while also facilitating their access to the new NRRP measures.
