Renewables: Chiron Energy gets €6.6 mln for two new photovoltaic parks
Intesa Sanpaolo is supporting the Marche-based company Chiron Energy with a double loan of a total of €6.6 million for the construction of two photovoltaic parks in Lombardy and Piedmont.
The plant in the province of Pavia will have a total capacity of 7,158 kWp and the one in the province of Novara of 975 kWp: once in operation, they will be able to cover the annual energy needs of around 5,000 households, avoiding more than 6,000 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent per year in climate-changing emissions.
The operation, with European Investment Bank (EIB) provision, is part of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group's commitment to support investments in the energy transition.
Chiron Energy is one of the leading independent platforms for renewable energy development in Italy.
