Project finance in Spain: focus on energy and infrastructure
Intesa Sanpaolo, through its IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, operates in Spain in strategic sectors such as energy and infrastructure through Project Finance: in these sectors, in the last two years, it has participated in 13 projects of international relevance for a total value of approximately €27 billion.

Intesa Sanpaolo, through its IMI CIB Division, is one of the leading corporate and investment banks in the Spanish market, boasting a consolidated presence for more than 50 years now. Specifically:
- in recent months it has taken part in the placement of several corporate and institutional bonds, including those for CriteriaCaixa, Iberdrola, Naturgy, Santander and Abertis totalling over €7 billion
- in 2024, it is confirmed among the top 10 banks in syndicated loans in Spain
