Reorganisation in Insurance: “Intesa Sanpaolo Assicurazioni” kicks off

Intesa Sanpaolo reorganises its corporate structure and brand identity in the insurance sector: "Intesa Sanpaolo Assicurazioni" (formerly "Intesa Sanpaolo Vita") is established, the new name under which the Group provides protection in the fields of social security, damage, health and welfare, as well as manages investments and savings.

Virginia Borla, CEO, General Manager and Head of Intesa Sanpaolo's Insurance Division, is confirmed at the helm of "Intesa Sanpaolo Assicurazioni".

Intesa Sanpaolo Assicurazioni also controls the new “Intesa Sanpaolo Protezione”, created from the merger of Intesa Sanpaolo Assicura with Intesa Sanpaolo RBM Salute: entrusted to Massimiliano Dalla Via, CEO and General Manager, it becomes a single company for the non-life and health classes.

The Intesa Sanpaolo Assicurazioni Group contributed 10% to the Intesa Sanpaolo Group's current gross profit (as at 30 September 2024), confirming the bancassurance model inspired by the CEO, Carlo Messina.
