Intesa Sanpaolo has granted a €12 million loan to Mefam Srl to support the acquisition of shares in IPAFIN, the holding company of the Lo Conte Group. This transaction resulted in Antonio Lo Conte becoming the sole shareholder of the group, marking a decisive step towards the corporate governance renewal.

The transaction represents an important development for the Lo Conte Group, a major player in the Italian agri-food sector: it allows the company to strengthen its governance and adopt more agile and innovative strategies, necessary to face market challenges and consolidate its leadership position.

The loan was granted by Intesa Sanpaolo's Agribusiness Department, specialised in supporting companies in the agribusiness sector, and the family buy-out transaction was finalised thanks to the support of the Corporate Finance Mid Cap structure of the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, which acted as Arranger.
