One billion euro sustainability-linked credit facility to Snam
Intesa Sanpaolo is in the pool of banks that have granted Snam a €1 billion sustainability-linked loan, aligned with the new Group’s Sustainable Finance Framework published in February 2024.
The credit facility is structured as a committed and revolving facility linked to sustainability targets, with the applicable margin dependent on the achievement of these targets and a maturity of three years. As part of its Sustainability Strategy, Snam aims to:
- achieving carbon neutrality by 2040
- 85% of total funding to be obtained from sustainable finance by 2027.
By participating in the Sustainability-linked loan to Snam, Intesa Sanpaolo confirms its commitment to support corporate sustainability, a strategic lever for the creation of value for all its stakeholders.
The pool of banks that underwrote the loan also included BNL BNP Paribas, Banco BPM, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank and UniCredit.
