Funding of €11 mln to Tper for the development of sustainable mobility
Intesa Sanpaolo has signed a new green loan of approximately €11 million in favour of Tper (Trasporto Passeggeri Emilia-Romagna) to support the development of sustainable mobility in the Emilia-Romagna territory and in other areas of interest of the company.
More specifically, the loan will enable Tper to purchase around 560 fully electric vehicles - including electric cars and e-scooters - for the car sharing service offered under the “Corrente” brand.
"Corrente", which operates in Bologna, Ferrara, Imola and other areas (such as the UniCal university campus in Cosenza and Rende), today has around 90,000 users and one of the largest electric fleets in Europe.
The transaction was structured by the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division and comes in addition to two loans for a total of €80 million disbursed last year for the efficiency and renewal of Tper's vehicles.
The Intesa Sanpaolo Group, led by CEO Carlo Messina, has long been at the forefront of accelerating the transition to a low-emission economy with loans for individuals and businesses and an increasingly wide range of sustainable investment products. Between 2021 and the first quarter of 2024, approximately €47.2 billion of the €76 billion of new credit available to support the green economy, circular economy and ecological transition in connection with the NRRP, was disbursed.
