Intesa Sanpaolo in the €1bn Sustainability-linked Loan to FNM

Intesa Sanpaolo, through its IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, participated in the €1 billion financing with ESG features for FNM, together with a pool of financial institutions.
The funds will be allocated to:
- strengthening FNM Group's financial structure
- supporting the investments envisaged in the 2024-2029 Strategic Plan.
The transaction is structured as a Sustainability-linked Loan, in line with the Sustainability-linked Loan Principles promoted by the Loan Market Association (LMA), and includes a pricing mechanism linked to the achievement of specific ESG objectives. In addition, the Capex Facility is classified as a Green Loan, in line with the LMA's Green Loan Principles.
As part of the transaction, IMI CIB Division acted as Underwriter, Global Coordinator, Mandated Lead Arranger & Bookrunner, as well as Green Loan and Sustainability Coordinator.
FNM operates in sustainable mobility services, the management and development of motorway and railway infrastructure, as well as in the renewable energy and logistics sectors.
