Intesa Sanpaolo, through its IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, has participated as lender in the refinancing of METLEN’s solar portfolio in Australia.

METLEN is a global industrial and energy company with a leading position in the metals and energy sectors, focused on sustainable development and the circular economy.

The portfolio comprises six operational solar farms in New South Wales and Queensland, and the 150 MWp Munna Creek Solar Farm approaching construction completion. Once fully operational, the portfolio will produce renewable energy of almost 1 TWh annually, avoiding approximately 650,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year.

The transaction reaffirms Intesa Sanpaolo’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure and global energy transition initiatives.
