Intesa Sanpaolo in a €600 million financing for Low Carbon

Intesa Sanpaolo’s IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division has participated, together with a pool of international banks, in a financing transaction of over half a billion pounds sterling (approximately €600 million) in favour of Low Carbon, a leading company in the renewable energy sector.

The transaction includes:

  • a 10-year senior facility supporting a 1 GW portfolio of solar plants and energy storage systems
  • a 5-year HoldCo facility dedicated to development activities.

The financing supports Low Carbon’s growth strategy, which aims to develop an operational portfolio of 3 GW of renewable energy assets over the coming years.

Through this transaction, the Intesa Sanpaolo Group confirms its commitment to supporting the development of sustainable energy infrastructure and the transition towards a low-carbon economy.
