Intesa Sanpaolo in the MIB ESG index of Euronext and Borsa Italiana

Intesa Sanpaolo is included in the new MIB® ESG index, the first ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) index dedicated to Italian blue-chips with best ESG practices.

The index, launched by Euronext and Borsa Italiana, combines the measurement of the economic performance of large issuers with ESG impacts, in line with the principles of the UN Global Compact.

The inclusion of Intesa Sanpaolo in the new index that brings together the best companies on the basis of ESG criteria confirms its leadership in terms of the commitment to sustainability.

The methodology underlying the index involves a ranking of the best 40 companies on the basis of ESG criteria, selected from the 60 most liquid Italian companies, excluding those involved in activities that are not compatible with ESG investments. 

MIB® ESG is Euronext's second national ESG index, following the CAC40 ESG launched in March 2021.
