Intesa Sanpaolo is Italy's leading bank in financial support for the Italian furniture and home furnishing sector and, as an institutional partner of Salone del Mobile.Milano 2023, it hosted the talk "Sustainable trends and prospects in lighting design" at Euroluce.

The meeting focused on environmental sustainability which, in the furniture, lighting and design sector, increasingly involves research into new technologies and the study of innovative materials for use in design.

The energy transition also means the home furnishing sector has a strategic interest in reinforcing the value of the supply chain as a driver of the spread of technology, digitalisation and environmental sustainability – key factors in keeping companies competitive.

Through its Supply Chain Development Programme, Intesa Sanpaolo has already set up 35 supply chain contracts for the home furnishing sector, for a total of 450 suppliers with around 3,200 employees and a turnover of over €2 billion.

The paper "The scenario in the furniture and lighting sector: challenges and opportunities for growth" by the Intesa Sanpaolo Research Department was presented at the meeting.
