LEASINT (INTESA SANPAOLO GROUP): INCREASE IN RESULTS AS AT 31 DECEMBER 2010 

• 10,688 new contracts for a total value of 3.53 billion euro, up 11.2% over 2009
• Lending: 17.4 billion euro, + 2.1% compared to 2009
• Operating income: 205.1 million euro, +1.6% compared to 2009
• Net profit for the year: 42.1 million euro, + 32.2% compared to 2009

Milan, 31 March 2011 - The Board of Directors of Leasint, the leasing company of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group headed by Edoardo Bacis, chaired by Flavio Venturini, approved the balance sheet for 2010, which shows very positive results.

In 2010 Leasint signed 10,688 new contracts for a value of 3.53 billion euro, up 11.2% on 2009, reaching a market share of 12.9% .

At 31 December 2010, the amount of outstanding liabilities amounted to 17.4 billion euro, that shows an increase of 2.1% over 2009.

Total revenues amounted to 205.1 million euro, an increase of 1, 6% compared to 2009, when integrated with the net proceeds related to operating activities, the amount is 230.1 million euro (+4.2% compared to 2009)

Administrative expenses, including adjustments to fixed assets, rose by 2.1% (compared to 2009) and amounted to 42.3 million euro.

Net income for the year, after adjustments to loans for 107.8 million euro (-6.3% compared to 2009), amounted to 42.1 million euro, an increase of 32.2% compared to 2009.

The cost/income ratio calculated on gross income, integrated net proceeds related to ordinary operations and release of time value, amounted to 17.1%, an improvement compared to 17.6% in 2009.

At 31 December 2010, shareholders' equity, including net income, was 619.4 million euro.
