PRESS RELEASE

INTESA SANPAOLO LAUNCHES ELECTRONIC INVOICING TO COVER THE NEEDS OF THE PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND ITS SUPPLIERS
• New legal requirements have accelerated the deadline by which electronic invoicing is to be adopted by public authorities
• Intesa Sanpaolo has developed a solution to cover the needs of Public Administration departments and suppliers, both of whom must be equipped with this capability within a short period of time
• A simplified version, appropriate for issuing just a few invoices, can be activated in a few short steps

Torino, 3 June 2014 - Intesa Sanpaolo has completed development of an electronic invoicing system created to meet the needs of Public Administration services and suppliers. Recent legal requirements (Ministerial Decree no. 55 of 3/4/2013) have in fact brought forward the deadline after which electronic invoicing will be required for the supply of goods and services. From 6 June 2014, ministries, revenue agencies and national social security agencies will no longer be allowed to accept paper invoices and this will also apply to other domestic entities and local administrations from 31 March 2015.

Intesa Sanpaolo has also developed a simplified, low cost version of the electronic invoicing software, for entities who issue or receive a limited number of invoices, but are nevertheless required to be equipped for electronic invoicing.

Easy Fattura – the solution developed by Intesa Sanpaolo – allows issuing, sending (active cycle), receiving (passive cycle) and regulatory filing of electronic invoices. This capability can be accessed through the Inbiz remote banking portal for businesses. The electronic invoice can be created in a few seconds, using a computer or tablet device, and sent to a customer, whose details may be pre-registered in the index, in just one click.

Easy Fattura can be adapted to the requirements of private companies as well as the Public Administration, regardless of the number of invoices involved. A freelance professional, sole owner business, company or public bodies can essentially outsource the entire legally required invoicing and filing process to the bank.

In addition to simplifying filing and document searching, electronic invoicing simplifies the accounting process and tax compliance, with a cost reduction of up to 90%, compared to manual processing.
