INTESA SANPAOLO STRENGTHENS PEOPLE TRAINING, A PILLAR FOR THE BANK OF THE FUTURE

Agreement signed with all trade unions to strengthen professionalism and protect employment

Corporate Academy launched to develop additional skills for the digital transformation

Wellness and health promotion initiatives

Turin, Milan, 04 December 2024 - Intesa Sanpaolo has signed an agreement with all the Trade Unions aimed at strengthening the role of training as a pillar of the bank of the future and a  priority tool with which to ensure engagement and a pact of responsibility with the Group's people and increase their satisfaction, fostering skills development, employability and professional growth.

Training is an enabling factor to continue the path of digitalisation and technological innovation aimed at improving customer service and internal processes.

The new training offer will be divided into three strands:

-          qualifying training, which is indispensable to carry out a profession and is aimed at all Group people

-          vocational training, on technical subjects and to strengthen the soft skills required in the job, with a particular focus on professional figures in the Network of the Banca dei Territori Division;

-          transformative training, assured by the new Corporate Academy, dedicated to strengthening the skills needed to accompany digital transformation and ensuring continuous updating over time. These training areas include one of what are regarded as the “priority” programmes, namely the “Omnichannel Programme” aimed at the Private Managers of the Banca dei Territori Division Network.

Thanks to continuous customised and innovative upskilling and reskilling courses, adapted to new organisational processes and with high value-added content on transformative topics and strategic strands such as AI, data, ESG and globalisation, training will accompany the Group's people through change with the acquisition of the required professional skills but also towards new jobs.

Intesa Sanpaolo also shared a path of health promotion and prevention with the trade unions, to improve the working environment and psychological and physical well-being through new 'integrated welfare' tools. In particular, taking into account the changes that the digital transformation brings about in terms of the way we work, with the ever-increasing use of video terminals, the knowledge obtained through health surveillance will be exploited, which will be extended, in an initial phase, to approximately 8,000 people working in branches (in addition to the 26,000 of governance already included), to prepare initiatives aimed at intervening on issues considered priorities such as cardiovascular risks and sleep disorders.

Roberto Cascella, Chief People & Culture Officer Intesa Sanpaolo, declared: "We are particularly pleased with this new agreement reached with the trade unions, which focuses on strengthening training activities. Our bank sees this as an essential element for professional development and employment protection, which will both benefit our competitiveness and enable us to continue building the bank of the future. We would like to thank the trade unions for the work we have done together that once again sees people at the heart of Intesa Sanpaolo's growth strategy".
