Intesa Sanpaolo's third Green Bond Report is published
Intesa Sanpaolo was the first Italian Bank to issue a Green Bond for 500 million euros, in 2017. The Green Bond was issued to finance projects dedicated to environmental sustainability and in particular in renewable energy and energy efficiency. The proceeds were fully allocated with 76 funded projects and around 460,000 tons of CO2 emissions avoided annually. This is a further demonstration of the Group's strong commitment to sustainability and to supporting projects with a positive impact on the environment.
This year’s update is the third annual report on the use of proceeds of the Green Bond.
