Joining the Net Zero Asset Owner and Net Zero Insurance Alliances

Intesa Sanpaolo announces its entry, through the Intesa Sanpaolo Vita Insurance Group, to the Net Zero Asset Owner Alliance (NZAOA) and the Net Zero Insurance Alliance (NZIA), completing the Group’s main Business Units’ commitment to net zero emissions by 2050, as announced on 20 October 2021 with its adherence to the Net-Zero Banking Alliance (NZBA) and, subsequently – through Eurizon Capital SGR, Fideuram Asset Management SGR and Fideuram Asset Management Ireland – to the Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative (NZAMI). 

The NZAOA and NZIA respectively bring together 61 international institutional investors and 15 of the world's leading insurers and reinsurers, all committed to bringing their investment and underwriting portfolios to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in line with the goal to reach a maximum temperature increase of 1.5°C compared to pre-industrial levels by 2100.
