Intesa Sanpaolo "Bank of the Year in Italy"
Intesa Sanpaolo has been named "Bank of the Year in Italy" by The Banker for the third consecutive year.
According to The Banker, Intesa Sanpaolo stood out for:
- its role in supporting Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan, providing more than €400 billion in new lending to the real economy, including €270 billion for businesses and €145 billion for households
- in this context, the bank is providing around €150 billion for households, communities and inclusion; €75 billion for the circular economy and green transition; and €60 billion for infrastructure, transportation and urban regeneration
- a renewed commitment to being a world-leading social impact bank, providing contributions of €500 million to support people in need and a project to provide 8,000 social housing units for young people and seniors, one of Italy’s largest social housing programs, as detailed in the Group’s 2022-2025 Business Plan.
