The Italian Innovation Ecosystem supported by Fondo SEI

The Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center has established the "Ecosystems of Innovation Development Fund" (Fondo SEI) through Neva SGR, a venture capital company of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, with the aim of promoting the growth of the Italian innovation ecosystem.

The Fondo SEI was created for targeted vehicles for the implementation of programmes for the research, selection, acceleration and professionalisation of start-ups in Italy.

The new Fondo SEI will have initial resources of €15 million, fully subscribed by Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, and a future maximum amount of €50 million, reserved for qualified investors. 

The first investment of €2.5 million has been dedicated to Tech4Planet, the National Technology Transfer Center for Sustainability which, born on the initiative of CDP Venture Capital together with the Milan Polytechnic and with the involvement of the Bari and Turin Polytechnics, aims to grow and bring to the market projects born within the laboratories of universities and research centers.
