International Day of Persons with Disabilities
The occasion provides an opportunity to recall the breadth and depth of the Bank's commitment, internally and externally, to include and support all our people.
For the second year in a row, the Intesa Sanpaolo Foundation, a philanthropic institution, has published a call for proposals to award 10 prizes to master's theses on disability.
The Evaluation Committee paid particular attention to the originality and innovativeness of the thesis, its impact on the quality of life of people with disabilities and its ability to raise awareness and cultural awareness on the subject. The prize-giving event for the winning theses will be held on 6 December at Gallerie d'Italia in Milan.
The Gallerie d'Italia, which has always proposed inclusive paths designed for people with disabilities, during the past week has offered colleagues and visitors from outside, dedicated initiatives to let them experience first-hand the strategies and methods adopted to make the museum an open environment without obstacles, be they physical or psychological barriers or due to prejudices.
Within Intesa Sanpaolo there is an interfunctional Disability Management group, coordinated by the bank's Welfare function and consisting of over 80 people.
The group represents the point of reference on the issues of disability and chronic illness in the workplace, responds to individual reports and works in various subgroups, each of which focuses on specific aspects such as accessibility, culture, communication, training and mobility.
