Intesa Sanpaolo takes part in M'illumino di Meno 2023
The nineteenth edition of M'illumino di Meno, an initiative launched by Caterpillar and Radio2 in 2005, has the motto "A whole energy community".
The 2023 edition focuses on the growing phenomenon of Renewable Energy Communities - territorial alliances of public bodies and citizens that produce and distribute energy from alternative sources.
Intesa Sanpaolo, in its role of disseminator of the principles of sustainability, has chosen to organize an Innovation Coffee on Thursday 16 February aimed at colleagues and the external public, to tell the story of the "Sharing Energy: Solidarity energy communities" project, through which the Group develops its intervention in support of the Energy Communities promoted by the Third Sector.
The event will see a discussion between Elisa Zambito Marsala, head of Social Enhancement and Relations with the Universities of Intesa Sanpaolo and Gaetano Giunta, promoter of the Messina Community Foundation with which the Group has a partnership agreement which has made it possible to create in Messina a vast program of innovative interventions for social inclusion and territorial cohesion, thanks to the tool of the Energy Communities.
During the meeting, the economic and environmental benefits and the positive social effects generated by the presence in the territories of Solidarity Energy Communities will be described, a valid response to combat social inequality and energy poverty.
The event is part of the program of meetings on innovation topics, the Innovation Coffees, conceived and promoted by the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center and will take place at 1.30 pm and anyone can follow it online by registering on the dedicated page: https://www.intesasanpaoloinnovationcenter.com/it/news-ed-eventi/eventi/2023/02/innovation-coffee-sharing-Energy-comunita-energetiche-Solidali-come-azioni-sistema-ad-alto-impatto-sociale/
