DJSJ World and DJSJ Europe Indices
Intesa Sanpaolo is included in the DJSI World and DJSI Europe, based on an annual assessment carried out by RobecoSAM with a best-in-class criterion among companies with significant capitalisation.
DJSI World includes more than 300 companies among the 2,500 largest businesses in the world included in the S&P Global BMI. DJSI Europe includes around 150 companies among the 600 largest European businesses included in the S&P Global BMI.

MSCI ESG Indexes
Based on an analysis of aspects of environmental and social sustainability, and governance, of over 13,000 companies, the indexes are subdivided, each representing a main ESG strategy. Intesa Sanpaolo is included on the MSCI ESG Leaders Indexes, and, as regards environmental aspects, the MSCI Low Carbon Indexes.
CDP "Climate Change A List" 2018 index
It includes around 140 listed companies based on the results of an annual assessment (over 7,000 participating companies in 2018) for the advanced approach to climate change mitigation. The analysis is based on data and information provided by companies, which are evaluated on 4 successive levels (communication, awareness, management, leadership) that represent the phases that a company goes through progressing towards environmental protection.
Corporate Knights - 2019 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World Index
Corporate Knights confirms Intesa Sanpaolo - the only Italian bank - among the 100 most sustainable companies in the world; about 7,500 listed companies have been evaluated with respect to 21 indicators that analyze, among others, issues relating to environmental sustainability, attention to human resources, gender equality, revenues from green products and services.
Euronext Vigeo Eiris Indices
Intesa Sanpaolo is included in the Euronext Vigeo Europe 120 and the Euronext Vigeo Eurozone 120. The 120 companies included in both indices are selected on the basis of the assessment conducted by the ESG Vigeo-Eiris rating company on 4,500 issuers and various asset classes, the screening also includes the analysis of any disputes.
Ethibel Sustainability Indices
The target universe of the Ethibel indices is composed of the Ethibel Excellence Investment Register, defined on the basis of the criteria of the independent association Forum Ethibel, which is based on the assessment conducted by Vigeo-Eiris. Intesa Sanpaolo is included in the Ethibel Sustainability Index Excellence Global and in the Ethibel Sustainability Index Excellence Europe.
Standard Ethics Indices
They analyze the companies in terms of sustainability, governance and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Intesa Sanpaolo is included in the Standard Ethics Italian Banks index, in the Standard Ethics Italian index and in the Standard Ethics European Banks index on corporate social responsibility and corporate governance (the title is assigned an EE rating on a scale from EEE a F).
STOXX® ESG & Sustainability and Low Carbon Indices
The STOXX® Global ESG Leaders indexes include the world's leading companies in terms of environmental, social and governance criteria, based on ESG indicators provided by Sustainalytics. Intesa Sampaolo is present in the two sub-indices: STOXX® Global ESG Environmental Leaders and STOXX® Global ESG Social Leaders. It is also included in some Low Carbon indexes.
