Our commitment to diversity and inclusion

Valuing people and their diversity is core to the Group's strategy, which for years has promoted equity and inclusion as drivers of growth and innovation. We believe that an inclusive work environment, able to welcome every viewpoint and talent, is the key to richer and more informed choices.

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Structure guides our ongoing commitment, overseeing the strategy and the various initiatives developed to transform these values into tangible results, as certified by the awards we have obtained.

Promoting inclusion at all levels

The promotion of a culture of inclusion is a key pillar of the Group's DE&I strategy and is reflected in practical initiatives aimed at all the people, at every organisational level. Training, awareness and listening are essential tools to build an environment where every person at Intesa Sanpaolo can express their potential and make their unique contribution.

To ensure real and widespread inclusion, we actively involve top management in a discussion process on Inclusive Leadership, and are committed to raising awareness among the entire company population on the use of a language that is mindful and attentive to overcoming biases and prejudices, in particular thanks to the "Parole di tutto rispetto - Respectful words" project.

Valuing female talent is a core commitment for Intesa Sanpaolo, which promotes the presence of women at every professional level. With the Girls@Polimi initiative, for example, created together with the Milan Polytechnic, we support young students in approaching STEM subjects, helping to reduce the gender gap in the sector. Investing in female talent stimulates an inclusive environment and enriches innovation.
