Work-life balance
Since 2023, Intesa Sanpaolo has introduced a cutting-edge model to balance work and private life for the Group's people operating in Italy, based on schedule flexibility, smart working, short week, leave and absences, to meet every need. These initiatives aim to help people better manage the daily lives better, devote time to their families, pursue their studies or simply take a moment for themselves, without having to give up the important moments of life. The model strengthens the company's competitiveness, supporting the transition to digital services in a constantly evolving socio-economic context.

Possibility of flexible working up to 120 days a year, without monthly limits, with a meal voucher allowance also for expenses incurred while working from home.
On a voluntary basis and compatible with the needs of the function, there is the possibility of spreading the work commitment over 9 hours for 4 days a week, with equal pay.

Possibility of being absent on the days necessary to take exams or take part in training courses, to promote personal and professional growth.
Leave, absences and time-off, paid and unpaid, to cope with the different events related to the personal sphere: marriage, birth and childcare, illness, infirmity, bereavement.

An annual pool of paid leave of absence hours is provided for those employees who, in serious and proven situations, need additional leave beyond their entitlement.
People Care: the well-being of our people
Our People Care model aims to promote physical, psychological and social well-being, through active listening, analysis of the best international welfare systems and continuous service enrichment. We believe in an integrated approach, based on prevention, information and daily attention, to support each person in facing the challenges of life and work with equilibrium and awareness.
This is why we make available, among the many opportunities: consultations with psychologists, nutritionists and personal trainers; online support for caregivers of older people and tools for well-being in the workplace and in private life.
