Intesa Sanpaolo's new Green Bond is big success
Intesa Sanpaolo has placed a third Green Bond with a nominal value of €1.25 billion that was very well received by investors.
Proceeds from the bond will be used to finance green mortgages for the construction or purchase of energy-efficient real estate.
Demand for the Green Bond exceeded €3.5 billion, with interest from more than 260 investors.
Intesa Sanpaolo was the first Italian bank to issue a Green Bond, back in 2017, followed by a Sustainability Bond in 2019 focused on the circular economy.

Banks participating as joint book runners were IMI Corporate & Investment Banking of the Intesa Sanpaolo group, Barclays, BBVA, Crédit Agricole, ING and Natwest Markets.
